The vacteck 174 Quad Ultra Vac is designed for the recovery of heavy dry waste like PFA, Pulverised Fuel Ash, Foundry sand, Steel Shot and the recovery of heavy wet like oils, sludge, mine tailings, mud and contaminated heavy industrial sludge. These materials require a combination of high air flow and immense vacuum lift to create the right vacuum conditions for easy recovery. The 174 is a drum vac style of heavy industrial vacuum cleaner. The lid mounted drum vac venturis turn any 205/55 gallon steel drum into a powerful vacuum cleaner.  With a wide 450mm roller brush the sucking power created is second to none in this type of vacuum unit. A  traditional electric vacuum will create between 4-6 Hg inches mercury of vacuum lift. The 174 Quad extends out to 16Hg inches mercury, this being limited by the crush tolerance of a typical heavy gauge steel drum.
